Benjamin Lockshin, MD FAAD

Dr. Ben Lockshin graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and sculpture. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in 2001. In 2005, Dr. Lockshin completed his residency at Indiana University. Following his residency, he taught at Case Western University. In 2006, he returned to the Washington, DC area to practice with his father in Silver Spring, Maryland. In addition to private practice, Dr. Lockshin is actively involved in resident education. He currently runs a weekly resident clinic at Johns Hopkins University and leads monthly didactic case review for the residents at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Lockshin has published numerous peer reviewed articles and has written multiple book chapters in dermatology. He specializes in treating patients with psoriasis and he is currently conducting clincal research trials at the Clinical Study Center at DermAssociates.

Dr. Lockshin is a board certified dermatologist and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. Dr. Lockshin is an active member of the Washington, DC Dermatological Society and is currently the society's secretary. Also, he has been recognized as one of the Washingtonian's top dermatologists and was voted by his peers as one of the top dermatologists in the Washington Checkbook magazine.
